Vision 2025

At Tates Creek Christian Church, our Vision for 2025 is a bold invitation to grow and serve in new ways. This vision centers on two key initiatives: Expand Your Circle and Christ Was Kind. Through these goals, we aim to strengthen our community, deepen our relationships, and make a lasting impact for Christ. As we embrace our vision for 2025, we invite you to join us in expanding our circles and spreading kindness to those around us. Together, we will create a church that reflects Christ’s love in both word and action, transforming our hearts and our community.

Expand Your Circle

"Expand Your Circle" calls us to grow as a church family by stepping outside our familiar routines to engage with new people, places, and experiences within our community.

This initiative encourages each of us to:

  • Break Free from Comfort Zones
  • Build New Relationships
  • Explore Our City and Its People
  • Share Christ’s Love in New Ways

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching

them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 2:4-5

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

Expand Your Circle Challenge

This year, we are challenging you to get out of your usual routine, explore a new place in Lexington, and make a positive impact on someone you’ve never met before. Grab a challenge card from the church lobby or just challenge yourself on your own to visit a local establishment or public place you’ve never been to before-- this could be a coffee shop, a local store, a park, a small business, gym, library, etc.and experience something new! If you take a challenge card, we encourage you to leave a note: write a brief, encouraging note on the challenge card for someone you’ve never met. 2025 goal

Year of Kindness

The 2025 Year of Kindness goal, “Christ Was Kind,” invites our church family and community to embody the boundless compassion, mercy, and love of Jesus. Our mission is to share His kindness in every aspect of our lives, transforming our homes, neighborhoods, and community through acts of grace, understanding, and service. We aim to reflect Christ’s love through genuine relationships, selfless service, and a commitment to uplifting those in need—both spiritually and practically. As we grow together in faith, we will strive to make kindness not just an action, but a way of life, showing that through Christ, every heart can experience the healing power of love and compassion.

How to Get Started:

Start living out kindness today! Volunteer to serve through one of our ministries, join a small group focused on acts of service, or explore outreach opportunities with our missions team.

"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."

Ephesians 4:32

"Jesus straightened up and asked her, 'Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?' 'No one, sir,' she said. 'Then neither do I condemn you,' Jesus declared. 'Go now and leave your life of sin.'"

John 8: 10-11

"When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things."

Mark 6:34
