About Ernie

Ernie, raised as a minister’s son, originally from Anderson County, KY, has been in ministry for 43 years, and spoken in over 100 churches. He and his wife, Pam, have two married daughters and three grandchildren. His passion is teaching and leading people into Biblical community and growing devoted followers of Jesus. He loves UK sports, eating out, country ham, the Oak Ridge Boys, day trips in his ’98 Corvette, and playing with his grandkids.

What do you do here at Tates Creek?

I am the Connections Minister, overseeing about 8 ministries. I am on the Sunday preaching team rotation, and one of the teachers for Refresh on Wednesdays.

Hometown

That is a hard one. My dad was a preacher so he moved around a bit (but we always found him).....originally my family is from Lawrenceburg KY, but my second through eighth grade years were in Paoli, IN, and my high school years were in the village of Smithfield, in Henry County, KY.

What’s on your bucket list?

Do a trip out west on Route 66. Take my wife to Europe and Hawaii.
